I’m so excited to chat with Copywriter Samantha Burmeister of Nomad Copy Agency. She’s a no-nonsense entrepreneur who understands her personal priorities and builds her business accordingly (not the other way around). She gives us so many important reminders about finding joy and personal worth outside of the important work we do.
In this episode, we chat through:
- Building her business to fit her life—having her cake and eating it too by traveling and working when and where she wants
- Having an epiphany during college that life could look different than the “typical” job trajectory
- Paying off debt, raising chickens, and finding her own path (but one that had been forged by others before)
- Jumping and building her parachute on the way down instead of making excuses
- Holding different values in life and business (that still align)
- Chasing the joy, always
- Knowing what our nos are in order to make space for the yesses
- Reminding us that healing is a journey, not a destination
- Understanding that how we’re doing and how well our business is doing is not the same thing
- Taking time and money for yourself
- Surrounding yourself with people who aren’t exclusively interested in you in relation to your business
- Showing up from a place of abundance, rather than fear
