Like many online business owners, I’m working toward building my thought leadership and brand awareness. [Both big feats and moving targets, I know.] One of the most accessible ways to do this is through podcast interviews.

I heard about 9 Minutes of Creative Wisdom from Emma, who I met online and have collaborated with in the past. I reached out to the host, Olga Kirshenbaum, and she made the process smooth and simple. Olga is thoughtful and has a calming presence. It’s fun to see the variation in responses that come from the same 6 questions she asks all her guests.

You can listen to the podcast here (and all the major platforms) or watch the video interview on YouTube. Yep, it’s only 9 minutes long. Short and sweet.

Starting the new year with an interview was a great way to build momentum and gain confidence in pitching myself. I’ve successfully placed podcast interviews for two clients in the past (like this episode of Causeartist’s Disruptors for GOOD), but this was my first time as a podcast guest representing my business.

[Fun fact, my first-ever podcast interview was to promote a community college class I created that never came to fruition. It was about conscious consumerism, which also came up in Olga’s interview…can you tell I really care about this concept?]

Big thank you to Olga for having me as her guest. Show her podcast some love!

If you want guidance pitching yourself to podcasts, reach out. If you’ve been interviewed in the past, send the link my way! I’d love to give it a listen.
