First Impressions “About You Audit” Feedback with Angelica Evilsizor | Episode 95

In this special semi-solo episode, I’m live auditing the Instagram profile of Angelica Evilsizor. Giving first impressions feedback is one of my favorite things to do because it’s how most people experience your profile, website, and brand. The tweaks I suggest and ideas I leave for you to consider can go a long way in connecting with the perfect-fit people you want to be in relationship with.

I do live audits like this quarterly-ish via public About You Audits and anytime via Private About You Audits. Both are linked below!

And bonus: come back for episode 101 when I do a full interview with Angelica!

This is an unedited transcript and the timestamps don’t match exactly with the final audio. Thanks for your understanding!

2:53 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
So I think this episode is coming out first, but we will hear the origin story of the beautiful handle, Perfectly Better, and it really does suit you, Angelica. So I’m glad that’s your handle and your brand name, and I really love that you have a beautiful photo of yourself. I know you show your face a lot on Instagram. That’s a big part of your brand, so I think it’s really important that it is your face as the profile photo. That’s not the right choice for every brand, but for you, I think that’s absolutely well aligned. And then I love that you lead with your name, because so often we’ll have these really cool branded accounts. They have a really fun business name or really impactful, resonant business name, and then I do not know the human behind it, even if they are often face to camera. And every time I’m like, but who are you? So I’m so glad you have your name. I just think that’s so, so, so important so that someone can actually. Say, hey, Angelica, I really love your content. Or if they hop on a sales call with you, you know, even if you don’t call the sales call, but, you if they hop on a call with you, they actually know who they’re going to be speaking to, or they’re going to see an email sign from Angelica and they know it’s you and not some ephemeral team member or whatever it is. So I think that’s great. And then I think it’s really interesting that the first thing you say after your name is self-awareness, because that is the literally the biggest theme that came through when we were speaking during our interview for me was that self-awareness. So I want to mirror that back to you that that is very, very, very strong in the way you talk about your work and the way you show up online. I will say, though, you didn’t mention intuition as often and for sure not mentor. So I would love to know. I know it’s really hard with character counts and titles. Especially for you who’s like, I do so many things and I’m a different person every day. I would love to know how you landed on mentor and if that’s still resonant or if that’s something that you would potentially want to update to be more aligned with who you are today and moving forward.

5:17 – Angelica Evilsizor
Yeah, I had a really hard time with the word coach because one, I didn’t go through a coaching program to where I can like use the title in that way. And then also coach felt too small. There’s so much depth to the conversations I have with people that coach felt too casual. And so I think that’s why I use mentor. But even that one didn’t feel all the way there. And then there’s like all the other words that are like to woo, like guys or like whatever.

5:59 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
That was the first one that came to me.

6:00 – Angelica Evilsizor
Mine for me, because I know you like woo, you live in the woo world, but guide feels too woo for you. It feels cliche.

6:08 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Okay, I see that, I see that.

6:10 – Angelica Evilsizor
And so I don’t, I am like spiritual and witchy, like all those things, but using the words that a lot of people use, like hey goddess, or like, you know, good grand rising, and like those things. Because I just, I’m like, I’m too much of a border kid, Mexican girl, to like do that. And that side of me won’t let me. It’s like, dude, what? What are you doing? And I have a lot of friends that talk like that, and I love them too. I just can’t get myself to. And so I’m like, how do I, I don’t know, like your spiritual homegirl that’s going to crack the whip and make you do .

6:52 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Like, you know, I actually really like homegirl. Yeah, I, I, so my brand would absolutely never in a million years support homegirl. Homegirl, like for myself, but actually for you, I quite like that. So throwing that out there. But I do, I do, I really appreciate the nuance of, you know, what do I call myself? And so I think if mentor gives you that depth and that personalness that is so important to you, then yeah, run with it. But I actually think you could come up with something that’s like completely not in the coaching, mentoring guide realm, something like Homegirl. And that would actually be even more on brand and even more aligned. Because self-awareness and intuition, people know what they’re coming for, right? And that would, you know, blend in with the industry in the right way. It would speak their language in the right way. And then the Homegirl would like throw in a wrench that would really squarely set you apart. So yeah, all that to say, I think there is some wiggle room with that. And the self-awareness does seem very, very key to how you work. And then, yeah, the intuition, I think it’s really important. And, yeah, I want to throw that out there that I think that would attract the type of people that you want to attract. And then I think a lot about the order that we list things. So a lot of times with, like, values work, because I do so much around values, I either advocate for alphabetical order just so that they’re not weighted, or I advocate for list them in the order of importance. Same thing with, like, offers. List them in the order you actually want people to see them. So I know you said that the product side of your business is a little bit less important or more of, like, back burner or slow to grow, grow on its own pace. You are… Are leading with that. So I did want to just flag that. don’t think that’s bad by any stretch. And you do talk about your menstrual tracker and journal. And that is a big part of the link in bio. So again, not bad, but I want to throw that out there. I do like the blood emoji. I think that’s like fun and cheeky. And it just breaks up the text. And then you do say certified inner voice facilitator. So I almost feel like you could maybe even drop the intuition mentor and just do self-awareness and inner voice facilitator. Then you would lose the certified. But I think the fact that you’re certified matters. I mean, you went through it. And some people are looking for that. Although I will say, I’m not sure how many people are like Googling certified inner voice facilitator, just because they don’t know what that is, like a certified coach is. But I think that. that. Inner voice does speak to intuition, but more on in like your language. Intuition is a little bit broader. Inner voice is very specific. And I have personally done an inner voice session with you. It is very deep. So I think this is very special. So I would put that higher personally. You would put it next to my name? Maybe next to your name, because I mean, that’s what everyone sees, right? Like when you actually comment and stuff, like they’ll see, oh, Angelica, like certified inner voice facilitator. That’s pretty cool. Or you could even, like instead of giving yourself a title, do some prongs. Do like self-awareness, menstrual tracking, inner voice work or something like that. Like you don’t have to give yourself a title. We know you’re Angelica. That’s title enough. We know that you are perfectly better the brand. That’s title enough. I don’t know, especially for someone who is ebbing and flowing and doesn’t want. To box yourself in, why give yourself a title just for the sake of it, especially if no one is like Googling that. If people are Googling something specific, maybe slap it up there, but I don’t think you need to box yourself in just for the sake of it. Um, and then sign up for the next workshop. That one does make sense last because it’s pointing down like the emoji is pointing down to the link tree. Um, although I will say what type of workshop, if we don’t know you, obviously your content is below your content does talk about it, but like, what is the next workshop? Even if the workshop is changing, can you have like a little bit of caveat, a little bit of detail, um, women’s circle, listening circle, um, like what type of workshop? Because again, are, you’re not like a bro B2B marketing workshop. That’s not, that’s not what the workshop is. Right. So let’s give them some little, little clues, little breadcrumbs. They know what workshops they could be even looking into. Especially if they haven’t scrolled down to see Listening Circle, to watch all the beautiful reels, or see all your beautiful stories where you would actually talk about that. I just clicked on the link and it has last month’s workshop on there. Well, there you go.

12:18 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Now you know.

12:19 – Angelica Evilsizor
could update that.

12:20 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Yes, there you go. Okay, and then speaking of link and bio, so we click on it. It does have a different photo. I don’t think that’s bad. I mean, they’re both beautiful. You could keep it the same. You could keep them different. I don’t think that’s wrong or right one way or the other. I really like this. So you say journals, planners, notebooks, and events. Okay, that’s great. I think it’s good to root like what they’re in store for. All to connect you back to yourself. I actually think this would be way stronger as part of your IG bio. So, um, because now we know, okay, this is Angelica’s channel. Maybe something. Something about self-awareness, maybe something about inner voice, maybe something to root what it is. But really, this bio is not about you so much as it’s about what they are in store for, what they’re coming for. And they’re coming to you to connect themselves back to themselves. So I love the to connect you back to yourself. Ooh, I just, I think that’s so beautiful. So something like that, or that verbatim, I think would be perfect on the actual public facing. And then you could mirror it here or not. Yeah, and then even on the main page, you don’t mention that it’s journals, planners, notebooks, and events. Although I’m not sure you need, well, I’ll ask you maybe. I was thinking the journals and planners could be sufficient and the notebooks. Books is like kind of redundant in that a journal could kind of be a notebook, a planner could kind of be a notebook. feels like. notebook that You It’s Um, but I do think events are important and I would almost even lead with that, especially because you said that’s where you want your focus to be. Um, and then I like that you have some categorization here. So you do have, um, the April to be updated listening circle in person. You have the 2025 menstrual cycle tracker, and then you have an emotional release, uh, session recording. I think that’s really cool. Um, that’s basically a lead magnet then I would imagine.

14:33 – Angelica Evilsizor
Or is that, is that a paid resource? Uh, it is paid.

14:37 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Okay. Um, and then we have the sessions, just me and you. I really like that. Um, just that nuance of the way you worded that just sounds a little bit different than like online business speak. So I already like that. It’s very nuanced. It’s very clear, but it’s, um, it’s subtle. How? How? How? More personal that is. So we have the private inner voice slash emotional release. I will say that’s in all caps. I would put that in lowercase just to match and be consistent with all the others. The I need someone to talk to. Ooh, and then I see it’s Calendly. Like the little preview is a little Calendly logo. I love that you call it. I need someone to talk to. I would still maybe put I need someone to talk to. Call or something. Something like that. I don’t know why. Just something to anchor like, oh, I’m booking a session basically. And I know we have the title that says it’s a session, but I don’t know. Still something to root it.
And then Clear the Path, Six Weeks, One-on-One. I love that name. I would probably put that lowercase too, just so that it’s consistent. And then we have journals and trackers. I will say it’s called trackers in the categories, but at the top of the page, It’s called Journals, Planners, Notebooks. So I would be consistent just with those categories. Yes.

16:07 – Angelica Evilsizor
Here the tracker is like the menstrual tracker.

16:12 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Yeah. And so I would maybe, I don’t know, I would maybe move that down so it’s in like the proper, you know, quote unquote category. I do like that you lead with it because it is one of your like staple products. So it does make sense to have it way up at the top. I don’t know for you to experiment with or just, you know, follow your gut. Um, but, uh, yeah, I think this is great. Okay. So we have the link side and then we have the shop side. So I’m just going to click on that. So then we have journals, menstrual tracking and printables. Okay. And so printables is like yet another title. So I just would be consistent. Um, cause someone like me, I’m like, wait, she mentioned, you know, this, am I missing it? Where is it? Like, so I just want the names to be all the same for people so that like, if they do it, you have that over. Thank So we were talking Fathom, Ashlee, and Angelica Evilsizor, and Angelica and Evilsizor. And then the shop side would be the actual products. That could be just a simpler way, and that way they were able to navigate and, like, self-select a little bit faster. But, yeah, all that connects you back to yourself, that just feels so, so, so important. And then I think the names of all the products and offerings really support that. All right, so I’m going to hop back to the main Perfectly Better. I love that you have. Have story highlights. That is something that I just, like, have never really… I think that I technically do have some, but I just, like, don’t keep up with it. You might want to revisit these, rearrange them. You might just want to audit them in some capacity just to make sure they’re actually what you want to be sharing, actually what you want people to be focusing on. That’s, you know, your call. And then also, I see that you have the three pinned posts. So I would just make sure that those are exactly what you want them to be. I love how colorful they are. I love that one is your product, one is your event, and then one is, like, a very heartfelt, here’s who I am as a person. So I really think those are kind of your three prongs, is, like, here’s who I am, and therefore, permission to be yourself, therefore, permission to get on a call with me and see if you want to be you with me. And then I think the events is the other prong, and the products is the other prong. So I think that is really strategic and makes a lot of sense. And then just in general, I’m just scrolling down and it’s a lot of your face, which I think is perfect. I think that is how you show up. And I think that’s exactly what people want from you. And then it’s also lots of very thoughtful words. I see a poem that you wrote. I see you outlining cycle syncing, that sort of thing. So I think the content itself is really exactly what it needs to be. Yeah, we could talk more about what people want and need from you. But how is all of that landing? you have any questions? Did that spark any ideas of what you want to update or change or rearrange or anything in between?

19:51 – Angelica Evilsizor
I think it makes sense, like just a little tiny tweaks about consistent wording. I was and was really proud of. My bio and how it was because I do pay attention to people that talk about doing those things properly and try to do it how they said. but I can see how it could be even better. I can see how I can get more specific and more somebody lands here and can see exactly what it is that I’m doing and giving them.

20:20 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
So I really appreciate that. Something I just thought of. Um, I feel like you’re really good at capturing your essence. And then, like I said, in the link in bio, you really, really captured the why you would want this. Something that I just noticed is missing is like, who is this for? Who is your perfect fit person? When they land here, how do I know that I want and need your inner voice facilitation? How do I know that you’re the right mentor, guide, coach for me and my self-awareness? Um, I know you work mostly with women. Obviously, menstrual tracker is for people who bleed. But, um. Is there some sort of nuance? Like we had talked about in our actual full-length interview, how do you know your perfect fit people? Are there any words that could describe them? Even you had said something about the motivation to actually do, that sort of thing I feel like could be a really useful add-on to this bio as well. So that not only are they seeing and feeling the pieces of you that matter to you and to them, but also they can see themselves. They can see, oh, I should hang out here. I should reach out to her. I should click the links. I think that could be a really, really impactful shift. And you are so empathetic that whatever you land on, I think will really, really resonate with the person who sees it. Perfect. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Any other questions or thoughts? This was short and sweet because it’s just Instagram. There are only so many characters. Also, because there are only so many characters, you gotta, you gotta hit them fast. Yeah.

22:07 – Angelica Evilsizor
Right. Right. I think the, the biggest food for thought for me will be, what do I call myself? And how do I identify the people who will identify with me and what I call myself?

22:20 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
Yeah.

22:22 – Angelica Evilsizor
Yeah.

22:23 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
And even do you have to call yourself anything? Full permission to not?

22:27 – Angelica Evilsizor
Sure. Yeah. Yes.

22:30 – Ashlee Sang (Ashlee Sang)
All right. Awesome. Well, thank you so much for sharing so vulnerably. Um, and yeah, I can’t wait for everyone to get to know you better with that full length interview. I feel like they’re really, really in for a treat. That was so fun. Good
